This year, there were a bunch of amazing collections, but I managed to narrow it down to my top five. Here are my picks for the best collections from Pre-Fall 2012, in alphabetical order:
Burberry Prorsum Pre-Fall 2012
Burberry always exudes a sort of vintage glamour, and this collection did just that. They used classic shapes and luxe fabrics to create a timeless look. Plus, the adorable bow detailing adds a touch of femininity.
Honor Pre-Fall 2012
I noticed that most designers chose to work with darker colors for their pre-fall collections, but not Honor! Instead they went with bold, punchy colors and used unexpected color pairings (like red and pink) to create a chic and stylish aesthetic.
Jason Wu Pre-Fall 2012
Jason Wu stuck with his signature well-tailored and ladylike ensembles, but with a tough girl twist. I love the way he incorporated a bit of leather into every look. If his upcoming collection at Target looks anything like this, I'm definitely going to be broke come spring.
Jo No Fui Pre-Fall 2012
I've really been into faux fur lately, and I love how design house Jo No Fui incorporated it into their pre-fall collection-- the fur looks glam, but in a down-to-earth and totally wearable way.
Thakoon Pre-Fall 2012
Thakoon used a gorgeous color palette for this collection that was filled with lots of neutrals and soft colors. I especially love the way they played with different shapes and volume, plus the looks seem like they would be super-comfortable to boot.
What do you think of these collections? Which one is your favorite? Have you been checking designers' pre-fall collections? I'd love to know!
Definitely looking forward to Honor's line :) Colors are fabulous! Thanks for visiting my blog <3
