April Showers: Rain Gear for Springtime

I don't know how the weather is where you're living, but in Florida we've recently had tons of torrential rain, which made me scramble to come up with some stylish, yet practical ideas for what to wear on rainy days. Even though the rain has passed, I'm sure it will be back fairly soon. Y'know, "April showers bring May flowers..." Anyway, here are some of my picks for fashionable umbrellas and rain boots as well as a rainy day outfit for inspiration:

Cute Umbrellas

I love standing out in a sea of black umbrellas, so take my word for it and be sure to buy a fun and bold umbrella. It will brighten up even the dreariest of rainy days and is sure to get tons of great compliments. My favorite of the umbrellas above is the one with the map printed on it. What's yours?

Stylish Rain Boots

Again, when shopping for the perfect pair of rain boots it's important to pick a pair that you love. If you're a girl who loves heels, try out some wedged rain boots. If you love leopard, find a pair in that fabulous print. You could even buy a pair in your favorite color.

Outfit for Inspiration

This is a version of my go-to outfit for rainy days. Start out with a comfortable tee and a pair of jeans-- I find that skinny jeans are much easier to tuck into rain boots then boot-cut jeans. Then add a cropped trench, which  is a stylish and much lighter alternative to a cumbersome raincoat. I chose this particular rain boot and umbrella combo because I really like the contrast between the two colors-- it would really brighten-up this otherwise neutral outfit. Finally, accessorize with some delicate earrings and you'll have a foolproof rainy day outfit!
